Richard L. Dixon passed from life to eternal life on Dec. 2, 2020.

Rich was born in Waukesha, Wis., on Sept. 11, 1950, to Richard (Digger) and Ione (Mini) Dixon.

After graduating from high school Rich worked as an installer for Bell Telephone Co.

A fortune cookie read, “Green grass is awaiting your future” so he headed north to Eagle River, Wis.   It was in Eagle River Rich met Mary Wick, the light and love of his life.

Buying a logging truck dubbed “Tootsie Roll,” he entered the logging business.

Years later Rich shifted gears. He owned and operated Northwoods Siding & Construction until he retired.

Among his many talents, Rich was a people person always willing to share a story or two.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ione (née Duranceau) Dixon; and brother, Gary Dixon.

He is survived by Mary Wick; daughter, Leanne (Matt) Yoss; grandson, Ben; and granddaughter, Norah.

He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Peter) Venturi of Lac du Flambeau, Wis.; brother, Dr. Roger and Jan Dixon of Olean, Md.; nephew, Rob (Marissa) Dixon of Eagle River, niece, Christy (Jeremie) Hamby of Dalhart, Texas; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
