Bobby left this earth to be with the Lord on his 69th birthday, Dec. 20, 2019, after a short battle with cancer.

Bobby was born on Dec. 20, 1950, to Edna and George Dorer Sr. in Columbus, Ga.

He spent his childhood in both Georgia and Colorado, being he was from a military family.

Bobby spent his younger years enjoying hunting, fishing, enjoying nature and all its wonderful creatures.

He was very prolific in sports, earning high school letters in both football and baseball. Bobby never spent much time on the bench as he was a very valued player.

Bobby graduated high school in 1969, and joined the U.S. Navy in 1970. He was honorably discharged in 1974.

Bobby’s years in the Navy afforded him to see many different countries worldwide. One of his favorites was Italy. In Bobby’s years after the Navy, he worked in the trucking industry traveling, mostly the East Coast of the United States.

Bobby moved to northern Wisconsin in 1987, where he began work in the construction trades and was an accomplished carpenter until his death.

Bobby’s interests included hunting, fishing, especially walleye, gardening, horseshoes, playing pool and one of his favorites, playing golf. He was a major fan of Alabama football.

Bobby was very well schooled in identifying many different animal and plants. If you had a question on a certain animal or plant, he was the man to talk to. He truly enjoyed being in the outdoors whenever he could.

Bobby didn’t have a bad bone in his body and was always in a great mood, full of laughter and happiness.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Edna.

Bobby leaves behind two brothers, George (Ann) and Rick (Judy); many nieces and nephews; and great friends from northern Wisconsin to the southern states. HillBilly will be sadly missed by a very special friend, Jill Sobieck.

May the Lord welcome you with open arms, you are home now with Mom and Dad. Roll Tide, our friend, Roll Tide!
