Robert W. “Bob” Rozga, age 83, a resident of Eagle River, Wis., since 1973, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at Ascension Eagle River Hospital.

Bob was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on Jan. 23, 1936, to Arthur and Stella Rozga.

He worked as an electrician by trade for many years in Milwaukee.

After moving to Eagle River, he owned and operated a family motel/resort for four years.  He was also employed as a Voc-Ed Coordinator for the Headwaters Regional Achievement Center in Rhine­lander, Wis., and retired after 30 years.

He then worked 10 more years, part time, as a rest area maintenance supervisor.

Bob enjoyed hunting, boating, volunteering for Fishing Has No Boundaries, and spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He married his wife, Hilde, on May 16, 2015, in Eagle River.

He was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Eagle River, the Lions Club International and the American Legion.

He served in the U.S. Army. 

Bob was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Nancy Rozga, in 2011; his parents; two brothers, Arthur Rozga and James Rozga; and grandson, David Rozga.

He is survived by his wife, Hilde Rozga of Eagle River; children, Michael (Jan) Rozga of Indianola, Iowa, Charisse (Scott) Rozga-Anderson of Eagle River, Gregory (Laura) Rozga of Blue Island, Ill., and James (Laura) Rozga of Eagle River; stepchildren, Linda (James) Josten of Brookfield, Wis., Tony (Tracy) Stumvoll of Waupaca, Wis., and Gary Stumvoll of West Bend, Wis.; brother, Donald Rozga of King, Wis.; grandchildren, Kimberly, Kristen, Daniel, William and Natalie; stepgrandchildren, Nikki, Joey and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Walker and Paxton; stepgreat-grandchildren, Ri­ley, Jade and Kadence.  

A memorial service was Friday, Nov. 22, at Our Savior Luthern Church in Eagle River.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Eagle River would be appreciated.
