Ronald E. Roggeman of Phelps died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, at his home. He was 84.

Mr. Rog­ge­man was born July 8, 1935, in Norway, Mich., to Herman and Julia Roggeman. 

He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime. 

He worked for many years at Allen Bradley in Milwaukee prior to moving to Phelps where he owned and operated the Great Escape Bar and Resort for 19 years.

Mr. Roggeman is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathy; two daughters, Lisa Streich of South Milwaukee, and Cindy (Ralph) Spurgeon of Phelps; three sons, Gregory (Lisa) of St. Louis, Mo., Kevin (Stacey) of Bloomington, Ill., and Robert (Kathy) of Menasha. He is also survived by one brother, Kenneth (Patti) of Milwaukee; one sister, Betty (Gene, deceased) Bittner of West Allis; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass and service will be held Friday, Sept. 13, at 11 a.m. at St Mary Catholic Church in Phelps.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
