Ronald “Ron” Miller, age 83, a resident of Waters­meet, Mich., died suddenly on April 6, 2021, at his residence with his wife by his side.

He was born in Antioch, Ill., in September of 1937, to the late Clarence and Louise (Zeien) Miller.  

He worked for Lake County Grading in Libertyville, Ill., for 40 years as a heavy-equipment operator, then as a supervisor.

He was a member of Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150 for 60 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino, spending time with family and working on his tractor. 

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Jeri; sons, James “Randy” (Jamie) Miller of Antioch, and Steven “Rusty” (Jenni) Miller of Trevor, Wis.; stepson, Jason Perry of Republic, Mich.; grandchildren, Kyle, Kaci, Samantha and Michael Miller; sisters, Marylou Tollkuehn of Green Bay, Wis., and Suzanne Miller of Mesa, Ariz.; brothers, David (Linda) Miller of Racine, Wis., and Dick Miller of Kenosha, Wis.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronald Jr.; brothers, Jim and Jack; sisters, Joan and Patricia. 

A memorial service was held Monday, April 12, 2021, at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, Wis.
