Timothy “Timmer” John Running, age 63, of Sugar Camp, Wis., left to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2023, with his wife at his side.
He was born in Appleton, Wis., on Aug. 5, 1959, to Jim and Shirley Running.
Tim moved to Sugar Camp when he was ten. He grew up helping his family run their campground.
He graduated from Three Lakes High School in 1977.
Tim was employed in many capacities, but enjoyed many years at Pitlik and Wick, and as a self-employed bobcat and plowing business. He was most proud of owning and operating a bus which he drove for the Three Lakes School District. He loved his 4K students asking, “Mr. Tim, are we there yet?”
Tim was full of life and enjoyed each day to its fullest, whether it was romping through the woods on the “blue machine”, digging something with the excavator, trying a new restaurant, cheering on the Brewers, Bucks and Badgers, snowmobiling, enjoying a sunset over Lost Lake, or sitting in front of the fireplace.
He treasured his time with family, friends, and trusted companion, Stormy. Tim always had a good story to tell. His smile was infectious and made all those around him feel good. He will be remembered in our hearts always!
Tim is survived by his wife, Marci; children, Grant (Allie), Lance (Tiffany), Ethan (Naomi) and Ella; grandchildren, Cameron, Addelynn and Gavin; siblings, Rick (Lisa), Russ (Debby), Mike (Traci) and Lisa (Jack) Wales; parents, Jim (Kathy); and other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley; and his first wife, Cheryl.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Northlife Church (formerly St. Germain Evangelical Free Church) in St. Germain, Wis. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements by Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home, Eagle River. Online condolences may be expressed at gaffney-busha.com.

Well man it's sad to hear he's gone . He was the best bus driver I ever had after having not such a great bus driver treat me poorly, but then tim was my new bus driver and was so kind so many memories of him. I remember him calling me up to the front of the bus just so he could talk to me and I could help keep him awake after a long day. I'd always bring him cookies and homemade goodies when my mom would make them for my teachers but I'd never forget the coolest guy who brought me to school, and everytime he saw those goodies his face would light up and he'd always stop me to tell me how delicious they were and would tell me to have a good day at school.
