Letter to the Editor:

Dec. 28 the Vilas County News-Review ran an article that presented the views of Dr. Adam Clements regarding natural immunity after recovering from Covid.

His assertion is that natural immunity is not as good as taking a vaccine. I would question this position given the large numbers of studies that have shown that natural immunity is actually better than the vaccines because it is more broad-spectrum.

The present situation is that a vaccine is developed around a certain strain of the virus. As soon as that strain mutates slightly, the vaccine is far less effective. With natural immunity, your body is able to better fight these strains than a specific, targeted vaccine is. This is because natural immunity is more broad-based. The net result is what we have today — a never ending cry for more shots to be taken because they can’t keep up with every new strain that comes along.

There is much more to this issue than an honest effort to promote public health.

Everyone should read the book “COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We Are the Prey” by Peter R. Breggin, M.D. and Ginger Ross Breggin, to at least be aware of the nefarious dealings that have been going on with these vaccines since day one.

The book brings to light that in the early days, the World Health Organization (WHO) considered natural immunity as fact. However, when Donald Trump pulled out of the WHO, Bill Gates became the top donor to the organization. As soon as this occurred, the WHO deleted “naturally acquired immunity” as a way to achieve herd immunity from its website.

Herd immunity was previously defined by the WHO as “immunity achieved by vaccines AND previous infection” but now, the WHO is saying herd immunity is only achieved through vaccination. This goes against all scientific principles. Why would they do that?

Could it be that those with huge financial gain to be made from selling vaccines do not want herd immunity to be achieved any time soon? I fear that unless people start asking questions and pushing back, this situation will never change. I do not accept the “new normal.”

Thank you,
