Letter to the Editor:

It is a matter of life and death. Some would say it is a matter of light and darkness. Others, including me, would say that we are looking at a battle of good vs. evil.

We are at a crossroads in American history.

When I first heard the report that the governor of New York had signed a bill into law that women have the legal right to murder the child they are carrying until the last second before birth, I was and remained horrified.

I was even more dismayed by the standing ovation that the governor received.

I imagine that Planned Parenthood, National Organization for Women, and National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League also jumped for joy that they could continue making money off that gruesome business.

What followed shows where our country is going. The governor of Virginia went a step further when he said that a baby can be taken from the womb and comforted until the mother and the doctor decide life or death of a delivered child.

You will hear arguments from both side of any issue, but you will never hear the voice and opinion of the murdered child.

So, as a society, we must decide if it is to be life or death; whether we want to live in light or darkness. Or are we content to live with this evil?
