The 10th annual Phelps Predator Hunt will be held Jan. 11-20, beginning with a meeting at Sand Lake Pub in Phelps Friday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m.

Hunting will begin immediately after the meeting and is slated to end at noon Sunday, Jan. 20. Entry forms are available at Sand Lake Pub.

The entry fee is $40 per team, plus three nonperishable items which must be taken to the meeting.

There also will be a big dog contest that each team can enter for an additional $10, according to Phelps Predator Hunt organizers.

Prizes will be awarded Jan. 20 at Sand Lake Pub at noon, with a lunch provided. Winners will be determined by total number of points, with coyote worth 20 points and fox 15 points. All predators must be taken to Sand Lake Pub for weighing.

No baiting or dogs will be allowed and the event is open to Wisconsin or Michigan hunters. Calling and stalking is allowed.
