The Presque Isle Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 28th annual Walleye Tournament Friday through Sunday, May 17-19. 

Registration continues through May 18.

The tournament is held on Presque Isle area lakes with accessible public boat landings including: Annabelle, Averill, Big, Birch, Harris, Horsehead, Little Crab, Little Horsehead, Lynx, North Crab, North Turtle, Oxbow, Presque Isle, Rock, Round, South Turtle, Wildcat and Van Vliet lakes. 

New this year will be anglers self-registering fish on their boats using a smartphone and releasing the fish immediately. Totals will be tracked and posted on the Chamber of Commerce website. Monetary prizes are awarded to those registering the five highest collective lengths as well as a trophy for overall longest fish. 

Door prizes will be offered and all registrants receive a commemorative 28th annual tourney baseball cap and a complimentary fish fry lunch at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Presque Isle Community Center.

Registration is now open and days of registration are available in the event the tournament does not reach its maximum 80 spots.
