Betty Seyfert, long-time resident of Eagle River, Wis., passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017, at her home. She was 82 years old.
She was born in Rhinelander on Jan. 2, 1935, the daughter of Edwin and Laura Day.
Betty was married to Jack Seyfert Sr. on Sept. 18, 1954, and they were married for 56 years. They owned and operated Eagle River Service Center in downtown Eagle River for 25 years.
Betty enjoyed traveling and cherished spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her strength, generosity and encouragement. Betty was a saint, faithful Christian and a loyal friend. She was simply one of the kindest and best of women.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Lyn Jovanovic and Carolyn (Mike) Tomlanovich; three sons, Jack Jr., Kurt (Cori), and Paul (Jayme), all of Eagle River; one brother, Ted Day of Birnamwood; nine grandchildren; five great-grand-
children; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; grandson, Brian Jovanovic; great-grandson, Alic Jovanovic; and both of her parents.
The funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Pastor Trosien of Our Savior Lutheran Church will be officiating.
