Thomas “Tom” F. Brennand passed away April 4, 2017, in Eagle River, Wis.
He was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on Dec. 16, 1930, the son of Earl and Margaret Brennand.
Tom was united in marriage to his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Marzion, on Nov. 28, 1953, in Milwaukee.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Austria.
Following his time in the service he worked as a Milwaukee Firefighter (MPO) for 29 years and was the recipient of a Meritorious Service Award for heroism. Many of his best memories were those of his time in the firehouse with his fellow firefighters.
He also thoroughly enjoyed his work as a real estate broker in the Northwoods. The stories of his time in Austria, his days as a firefighter and his time in the Northwoods were never-ending.
Tom was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was the love of Dorothy’s life.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, was a good provider and considered himself lucky to have lived such a long and fulfilling life.
He will be deeply missed by the love of his life, Dorothy, family and friends.
Tom is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sons, Michael (Dianne) of Watersmeet, Mich., and Steven of Lake Tomahawk, Wis.; grandchildren, Matthew (Lindsey) of Kildeer, Ill., and Sarah of Richmond, Va.; and great-granddaughter, Grace.
Private family services were held at St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Land O’ Lakes. Military rights were provided by VFW Post 8400 of Land O’ Lakes. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.
