Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 20 911 hang-ups, five car vs. deer accidents, one hit-and-run traffic accident, one vehicle accident with personal injury, 12 nonreportable vehicle accidents, 12 vehicle accidents with property damage, four requests to assist another agency, six burglar alarms, one fire alarm, four ambulance requests, three animal problems, three attempts to locate, one attempted burglary, nine requests to assist citizens, one death investigation, one disorderly conduct complaint, three disturbances, two domestic violence complaints, one drug problem, one chimney fire, one fireworks complaint, two reports of found property, one intoxicated person, one failure to report to jail, one lost property report, three noise complaints, one protection order entry, two lewd and lascivious complaints, two snowmobile accidents, three snowmobile violations, two requests to remove subjects, two reports of suspicious circumstances, one theft, one threats complaint, one tobacco violation, five reports of hazardous conditions, seven traffic violations and six welfare checks.

There were at least 43 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 12 people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including one for operating after revocation, two for operating while intoxicated-second offense, one for battery, one for criminal trespass to dwelling, one for misdemeanor bail jumping, one for disorderly conduct, one for possession of marijuana, one for possession of drug paraphernalia, two for domestic violence and one for probation violation.
