Vilas County Sheriff

Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 21 911 hang-ups, two car vs. deer accidents, one vehicle accident with a fatality, two vehicle accidents with personal injury, 12 nonreportable traffic accidents, 13 vehicle accidents with property damage, three requests to assist another agency, four burglar alarms, six ambulance requests, four animal problems, one attempt to locate, 10 requests to assist citizens, one criminal damage to property offense, three disturbances, two drug problems, one chimney fire, two drive-offs, one harassment complaint, two restraining violations, one Huber Rule violation, two juvenile problems, one Lifeline alarm, two protection order entries, four probation violations, two vacation checks, four requests for officer assistance, two lewd and lascivious complaints, two snowmobile accidents, three snowmobile violations, two reports of suspicious circumstances, two reports of hazardous conditions, five traffic violations and four welfare checks.

There were at least 44 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 18 people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including two for operating after revocation, one for operating while intoxicated-first off­ense, one for tampering or failure to install ignition interlock device, one for dispensing prescription medications, two for resisting or obstructing an officer, one for misdemeanor bail jumping, three for felony bail jumping, one for disorderly conduct, one for possession of meth­amphetamine with intent to deliver, one for possession of Schedule I and II?narcotics and four for possession of drug paraphernalia.



Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were 21 calls for the Eagle River Police Department. These in­cluded one ambulance request, one request for agency assistance, two requests for citizen assistance, one for disorderly conduct, one false alarm, one fraud or confidence game, one littering problem, two parking problems, three reports of suspicious circumstances, two traffic accidents with property damage, one threats complaint, one utility problem and one welfare check. 

No persons were taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.



Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department re­ported three 911 hang-ups, one request to assist a citizen, three requests to assist another agency, 22 business checks, one disturbance, one domestic violence offense, two requests for extra patrol, one report of hazardous conditions, two snowmobile violations, two reports of suspicious circumstances, 11 traffic stops and three vehicles in the ditch.
