Vilas County Sheriff

Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 14 911 hang-ups, two car vs. deer accidents, two nonreportable traffic accidents, 10 vehicle accidents with property damage, one request to assist another agency, one airplane crash, six burglar alarms, one fire alarm, five ambulance requests, three animal problems, eight requests to assist citizens, one citizen problem, one counterfeit currency report, two disturbances, three drug problems, two vehicle fires, three fraud complaints, two Lifeline alarms, one lost or missing person, one parking problem, one protection order entry, two probation violations, one vacation check, one repossession, one request for officer assistance, three snowmobile accidents, three snowmobile violations, three reports of suspicious circumstances, one property theft, one theft by contract, one threats complaint, six reports of hazardous conditions, six traffic violations and five welfare checks.

There were at least 48 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least nine people were booked at Vilas County Jail. 

They included two to hold on warrant for another agency, two for resisting or obstructing an officer, two for misdemeanor bail jumping, one for felony bail jumping, one for possession of drug paraphernalia and one for probation violation.



Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were 25 calls for the Eagle River Police Department. These in­cluded one ambulance request, two animal problems, one simple assault offense, two requests to assist another agency, three requests to assist citizens, one driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs offense, four false alarms, one report of lost or found property, one probation violation, one report of suspicious circumstances, five traffic accidents with property damage and one theft. Two persons were taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.



Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department re­ported two 911 hang-ups, one vehicle accident, three ambulance requests, three animal problems, three requests to assist motorists, two requests to assist another agency, one burglary, 12 business checks, one child custody problem, one disturbance, one miscellaneous fire, one structure fire, one fire alarm, one fraud complaint, three reports of hazardous conditions, three welfare checks, one vacation check, one neighbor complaint, one reckless driving offense, one runaway juvenile, one sexual assault, one snowmobile violation, five traffic stops, two vandalism offenses and three vehicles in the ditch.
