Vilas County Sheriff

Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 10 911 hang-ups, three car vs. deer accidents, one vehicle accident with property damage, three requests to assist another agency, 11 burglar alarms, two fire alarms, four ambulance requests, three animal problems, two attempts to locate, one business or license problem, 10 requests to assist citizens, one criminal damage to property offense, three disturbances, three drug problems, one fire, two intoxicated persons, one juvenile problem, one lost property report, three vacation checks, two requests for officer assistance, one fatal snowmobile accident, four reports of suspicious circumstances, three property thefts, one medications theft, one automobile theft, one snowmobile theft, two threats complaints, five reports of hazardous conditions, two traffic violations, one unsecure premises, one VIN inspection and seven welfare checks.

There were at least 36 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 15 people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including one for  sixth offense or greater operating while intoxicated (OWI) and one for intoxicated operation of a snowmobile.



Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were 26 calls for the Eagle River Police Department. These in­cluded one ambulance request, one animal problem, one request to assist another agency, four requests to assist citizens, one false alarm, two intoxicated persons, one juvenile problem, one littering problem, one probation violation, three reports of suspicious circumstances, three vehicle accidents with property damage, two traffic offenses, one theft and three welfare checks. One person was taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.



Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department re­ported one 911 hang-up, one misuse of 911, two alarms, two ambulance requests, two animal problems, one request to assist a citizen, one burglary, 10 business checks, one child in need of services, two disturbances, one structure fire, one drive-off, one report of hazardous conditions, one mental health commitment, two scam reports, one sexual assault, two reports of suspicious circumstances, seven traffic stops and one vehicle in the ditch.
