Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 12 911 hang-ups, one car vs. animal accident, three car vs. deer accidents, one vehicle accident with personal injury, five nonreportable traffic accidents, two vehicle accidents with property damage, two requests to assist another agency, five burglar alarms, one fire alarm, two ambulance requests, one animal neglect or cruelty offense, one animal noise problem, one animal problem, three attempts to locate, one burglary, four requests to assist citizens, one death investigation, one disturbance, one structure fire, one juvenile problem, one littering problem, one report of lost property, one lost or missing person, one probation violation, one vacation check, two repossessions, one runaway juvenile, one request to remove a subject, one suicide attempt, two reports of suspicious circumstances, one automobile theft, one ID theft, one snowmobile theft, one threats complaint, two reports of hazardous conditions, five traffic violations, three trespassing offenses, one unsecure premises, one utility problem and four welfare checks.

There were at least 38 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 16 people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including   one for operating after suspension, two for first offense-operating while intoxicated (OWI), one for third offense-OWI, one for hit-and-run, one for dispensing prescription medications, one for intention to inhale hazardous substance, one for theft of moveable property, one for operating without owner’s consent, two for resisting or obstructing an officer, one for disorderly conduct, one for possession with intent to deliver, one for domestic violence and one for probation violation.

Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were 20 calls for the Eagle River Police Department. These in­cluded two requests to assist citizens, three disorderly conduct offenses, two false alarms, one intoxicated person, one loitering problem, one noise complaint, one probation violation, one sexual offense, one hit-and-run traffic accident, three traffic offenses, two utility problems and one welfare check. Three persons were taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.

Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department re­ported four 911 hang-ups, two accidents, two alarms, four animal problems, one request to assist a citizen, one request to assist another agency, 40 business checks, one contempt of court offense, one request for extra patrol, two fires, one drive-off, four reports of hazardous conditions, three parking violations, one reckless driving offense, one report of suspicious circumstances, six traffic stops and two vandalism complaints.
