Vilas County Sheriff

Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 16 911 hang-ups, six car vs. deer accidents, three nonreportable traffic accidents, nine vehicle accidents with property damage, seven burglar alarms, one fire alarm, three animal problems, one attempt to locate, three business or license problems, six requests to assist citizens, one death investigation, one disturbance, one domestic violence complaint, one drug problem, one structure fire, one drive-off, one harassment complaint, one dumping problem, one report of lost property, one vacation check, one request for officer assistance, one fatal snowmobile accident, one suicide attempt, seven reports of suspicious circumstances, two thefts, one vehicle theft, four reports of hazardous conditions, two traffic violations and three welfare checks.

There were at least 40 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 12 people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including   one for operating after revocation, one for tampering or failure to install ignition interlock device, one for dispensing prescription medications, one for criminal damage to property, one for disorderly conduct, one for child neglect, one for possession of heroin with intent to deliver, one for possession of marijuana, one for domestic violence, one for failure to appear and two for probation violation.



Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were 23 calls for the Eagle River Police Department. These in­cluded one ambulance request, three animal problems, one citizen dispute, four requests to assist citizens, one failure to appear offense, one juvenile problem, one parking problem, three reports of suspicious circumstances, one nonreportable traffic accident, one theft, one utility problem and two welfare checks. ?One person was taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.



Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department re­ported one 911 hang-ups, two alarms, one animal problem, one request to assist a motorist, two requests to assist another agency, 32 business checks, one mental-health commitment, one request for extra patrol, one fire, one welfare check, one traffic complaint, one traffic stop and two abandoned vehicles.
