Vilas County Sheriff

Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 21 911 hang-ups, five car vs. deer accidents, one nonreportable traffic accident, two requests to assist another agency, three burglar alarms, one fire alarm, three ambulance requests, one animal problem, three attempts to locate, one ATV complaint, two business or license problems, three requests to assist citizens, one custodial interference offense, one death investigation, one disturbance, three drug problems, one chimney fire, one report of found property, one Lifeline alarm, two vacation checks, two suicide attempts, five reports of suspicious circumstances, four thefts, one ID theft, one threats complaint, two reports of hazardous conditions, two traffic violations and three welfare checks.

There were at least 17 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least three people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including   one for first offense-operating while intoxicated, one for possession of marijuana plus felony enhancer and one for probation violation.

Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were 19 calls for the Eagle River Police Department. These in¬≠cluded five requests to assist citizens, three disorderly conduct offenses, one report of lost or found property, one parking problem, three reports of suspicious circumstances, one nonreportable traffic accident, one traffic hazard and three welfare checks. 

No persons were taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.

Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department re­ported two 911 hang-ups, two ambulance requests, one animal problem, one request to assist a citizen, 12 business checks, two child custody problems, one fraud complaint, one report of hazardous conditions, one welfare check, two parking violations, one report of suspicious circumstances and one trespassing complaint.
