Vilas County Sheriff

Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 28 911 hangups, six car vs. deer accidents, one hit-and-run traffic accident, four nonreportable traffic accidents, eight vehicle accidents with property damage, one request to assist another agency, two burglar alarms, seven ambulance requests, one animal problem, four attempts to locate, five requests to assist citizens, one citizen problem, one carbon-monoxide poisoning alarm, one custodial interference offense, one death investigation, one request to deliver a message, one fish and game violation, three domestic violence complaints, one vehicle fire, four fireworks complaints, one found property report, one juvenile problem, three Lifeline alarms, one littering problem, one lockout, two lost property reports, one lost or missing person, one noise complaint, two parking problems, one protection order entry, one probation violation, two vacation checks, four snowmobile accidents, four snowmobile violations, one request to remove a subject, one report of suspicious circumstances, two thefts, five reports of hazardous conditions, five traffic violations, one road rage offense, two trespassing offenses and five welfare checks.

There were at least 28 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least four people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including one for knowingly fleeing an officer, one for first offense-operating while intoxicated, one for intoxicated operation of a snowmobile and one for misdemeanor bail jumping.



Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were 18 calls for the Eagle River Police Department. These in­cluded one alarm, one ambulance request, one request to assist another agency, three requests to assist citizens, one report of lost or found property, one noise complaint, three parking problems, three reports of suspicious circumstances, one hit-and-run traffic accident, one traffic accident with property damage and two welfare checks. 

No people were taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.



Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department reported six 911 hangups, three vehicle accidents, one alarm, three ambulance requests, one request to assist a citizen, 58 business checks, 17 requests for extra patrol, one report of hazardous conditions, one parking violation and three traffic stops.
