Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 14 911 hangups, four car vs. deer accidents, one hit-and-run traffic accident, one vehicle accident with personal injury, eight nonreportable traffic accidents, nine vehicle accidents with property damage, two requests to assist another agency, six burglar alarms, one ambulance request, five attempts to locate, one ATV complaint, one battery offense, two burglaries, eight request to assist citizens, one counterfeit currency offense, one criminal damage to property offense, one request to deliver a message, one disturbance, four drug problems, one election law violation, one emergency detention, one family trouble complaint, two fraud offenses, two harassment complaints, one Lifeline alarm, one loitering problem, one report of lost property, two protection order entries, one vacation check, one repossession, one sex offender registration, one sexual assault, three snowmobile violations, one request to remove a subject, six reports of suspicious circumstances, four reports of hazardous conditions, six traffic violations, one trespassing offense and six welfare checks.

There were at least 40 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 19 people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including one for operating after revocation, one for knowingly fleeing an officer, one for first offense-operating while intoxicated (OWI), two for third offense-OWI, one for operating with controlled substance, one for tampering or failure to install interlock ignition device, one for possession of illegally obtained prescription, one for battery, one for possession of heroin, one for possession of cocaine, two for possession of methamphetamine, one for possession of marijuana, one for domestic violence, one for failure to appear and one for probation violation.

Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were 23 calls for the Eagle River Police Department. These in­cluded two ambulance requests, one request to assist another agency, four requests to assist citizens, one criminal mischief offense, one driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs offense, one fraud complaint, two intoxicated persons, one obstructing justice offense, two reports of suspicious circumstances, one traffic accident with property damage, one traffic accident with personal injury, one traffic hazard, one drive-off and two traffic offenses. One person was taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.

Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department reported one 911 hangup, one vehicle accident, one alarm, two ambulance requests, six requests to assist citizens, two requests to assist motorists, one request to assist another agency, one animal problem, 63 business checks, one child abuse complaint, 19 requests for extra patrol, one fraud complaint, one scam complaint, one report of suspicious circumstances, one theft, one traffic control request and one abandoned vehicle.
