Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 13 911 hangups, one abandoned vehicle, one car vs. animal accident, three car vs. deer accidents, one vehicle accident with personal injury, one vehicle accident with property damage, six requests to assist another agency, four burglar alarms, one fire alarm, five ambulance requests, two animal problems, three attempts to locate, three ATV complaints, five requests to assist citizens, three criminal damage to property offenses, one death investigation, two disturbances, four drug problems, one fire, two reports of found property, one fraud complaint, one drive-off, one harassment complaint, two juvenile problems, one Lifeline alarm, one littering problem, two reports of lost property, one noise complaint, one vacation check, three requests for officer assistance, one lewd and lascivious offense, two reports of suspicious circumstances, one theft, one ID theft, three reports of hazardous conditions, 10 traffic violations, one trespassing offense and six welfare checks.

There were at least 39 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 17 people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including two for operating after revocation, two for first offense-operating while intoxicated (OWI), one for second offense-OWI, one for strangulation and suffocation, one for criminal damage to property, one for resisting or obstructing an officer, three for disorderly conduct, two for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, two for possession of marijuana, one for failure to pay and one for probation violation.

Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department reported three 911 hangups, two accidents, one ambulance request, one animal problem, one request to assist a citizen, one request to assist a motorist, one request to assist another agency, 83 business checks, one child custody problem, one domestic problem, nine requests for extra patrol, one fire, two reports of hazardous conditions, one reckless driving offense, one report of suspicious circumstances, one theft and two trespassing offenses.
