Vilas County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers last week reported at least 14 911 hangups, three car vs. deer accidents, one vehicle accident with property damage, two requests to assist another agency, two burglar alarms, one fire alarm, six ambulance requests, two animal problems, one attempt to locate, one ATV complaint, one burglary, four requests to assist citizens, one custodial interference problem, one death investigation, three disturbances, one drug problem, one report of found property, two fraud complaints, one internet fraud complaint, two drive-offs, two juvenile problems, one littering problem, one tampering with mail offense, one protection order entry, one vacation check, two requests for officer assistance, one request to remove a subject, two suicide attempts, four reports of suspicious circumstances, one theft, one automobile theft, one theft by contract, one threats complaint, one tobacco violation, four reports of hazardous conditions, 14 traffic violations, one trespassing offense, one unsecured premises, two utility problems and 12 welfare checks.

There were at least 40 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, at least 14 people were booked at Vilas County Jail, including one for operating after revocation, one for fourth offense-operating while intoxicated, one for possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs, one for contempt of court, one for trespassing, one for misdemeanor bail jumping, one for disorderly conduct, one for failure to support, one for possession of marijuana, one for domestic violence and one for probation violation.

Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were 25 calls for the Eagle River Police Department. These in­cluded one ambulance request, one burglary, one citizen dispute, three requests to assist citizens, one criminal mischief offense, one possession of controlled substance offense, one disorderly conduct offense, two false alarms, one juvenile problem, one lost or found property report, one parking problem, one traffic accident with property damage, one traffic hazard, two threats complaints, two traffic offenses, one theft and one welfare check.

Two persons were taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.

Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department reported one 911 hangup, one accident, two alarms, two ambulance requests, two animal problems, one request to assist a citizen, one burglary, 44 business checks, one mental-health commitment, one request for police escort, 11 requests for extra patrol, one welfare check, four reckless driving offenses, two traffic stops and one vandalism offense.
