Vilas County Sheriff’s dispatchers last week reported at least 17 911 hangups, one abandoned snowmobile, three car vs. deer accidents, one hit-and-run traffic accident, two vehicle accidents with personal injury, three nonreportable traffic accidents, five vehicle accidents with property damage, two requests for agency assistance, four burglar alarms, two ambulance requests, one dog bite, one report of animal neglect, two animal problems, three attempts to locate, eight requests to assist citizens, two death investigations, one disturbance, two drug problems, one fire, one vehicle fire, one harassment report, three juvenile problems, one lock out, one drug overdose, two reports of operating while intoxicated, one parking problem, four probation violations, three vacation checks, one request for an officer, one runaway juvenile, two search warrants, one report of smoke in the area, four snowmobile accidents, three requests to remove a subject, one suicide attempt, 10 reports of suspicious circumstances, one automobile theft, one theft by contract, two snowmobile thefts, three reports of threats, three reports of hazardous conditions, five traffic violations, one report of trespassing, four unsecured premises and nine welfare checks.

There were at least 43 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, one or more persons were booked at Vilas County Jail for the following offenses: operate after revocation, first offense-operating while intoxicated, possession of illegally obtained prescription, resisting an officer, misdemeanor bail jumping, felony bail jumping, possesion of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of Schedule I and II narcotic, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana second offense plus felony enhancer and probation violation.



Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department reported four 911 hangups, one accident, one accident with injury, two ambulance requests, one request to assist a citizen, one request to assist a motorist, one request to assist another agency, 60 business checks, six requests for extra patrol, one drive-off, one report of hazardous conditions, one background check, two traffic violations, one report of vandalism, and two vehicles in the ditch.
