Vilas County Sheriff
Vilas County Sheriff’s dispatchers last week reported at least 38 911 hangups, one abandoned snowmobile, six car vs. deer accidents, two vehicle accidents with personal injury, 17 nonreportable traffic accidents, eight vehicle accidents with property damage, three requests for agency assistance, 13 burglar alarms, eight ambulance requests, one dog bite, three attempts to locate, eight requests to assist citizens, one citizen problem, two carbon monoxide poisoning alarms, two reports of criminal damage to property, one report of custodial interference, three disturbances, two drug problems, one fire, one chimney fire, one vehicle fire, four reports of found property, two fraud complaints, three internet fraud complaints, one drive-off, one harassment report, one noise complaint, one report of operating while intoxicated, two vacation checks, one request for an officer, four lewd and lacivious offenses, five snowmobile accidents, eight snowmobile violations, five reports of suspicious circumstances, two thefts of medication, one report of threats, seven reports of hazardous conditions, four traffic violations, one report of trespassing, one weapon offense and 10 welfare checks.
There were at least 38 informational or procedural entries.
In the past week, one or more persons were booked at Vilas County Jail for the following offenses: first offense-operating while intoxicated, possession of illegally obtained prescription, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, domestic violence and probation violation.
Three Lakes Police
The Three Lakes Police Department reported three 911 hangups, two accidents with injuries, two alarms, one request to assist a motorist, one report of a barking dog, 30 business checks, two disturbances, seven requests for extra patrol, two fire alarms, one gas drive-off, one report of harassment, one report of hazardous conditions, one welfare check, one report of suspicious circumstances, one report of trespassing, one report of vandalism and three vehicles in the ditch.
