Vilas County Sheriff’s dispatchers last week reported at least 16 911 hangups, 12 car vs. deer accidents, one hit-and-run traffic accident, one accident with injury, four accidents with damage, seven burglar alarms, one fire alarm, two ambulance requests, three animal problems, one attempt to locate, one ATV complaint, one watercraft accident, one burglary, five requests to assist citizen, two reports of criminal damage to property, one dead body, three disturbances, one fish and games violation, two domestic violence complaints, one drug complaint, one fire, five reports of found property, three gas driveoffs, one harassment, one jail medical incident, one litter, nine reports of lost property, three noise complaints, one parking problem, three requests for officer assist, one runaway, two suicide attempts, 10 reports of suspicious circumstances, four reports of theft of property, one report of theft via fraud, four reports of hazardous conditions, eight traffic violations, one trespass to property, one weapon offense and four welfare checks.

There were at least 32 informational or procedural entries.

In the past week, one or more persons were booked at Vilas County Jail for the following offenses: operating while intoxicated (OWI); battery; disorderly conduct; failure to support; possession of drugs; domestic violence; and probation violation.

Eagle River Police

Among the calls received by Vilas County dispatchers were at least 36 calls for the Eagle River Police. These included one alarm, three requests for ambulance, two animal problems, one request for agency assist, one attempt to locate, one citizen dispute, six citizen assists, one OWI, one escort, four juvenile problems, two lost or found property reports, one loitering, three suspicious circumstances, three traffic accidents, one traffic offense and one welfare check.

One person was taken into custody and booked into Vilas County Jail.

Three Lakes Police

The Three Lakes Police Department reported at least four 911 hang ups, two accidents, four ambulance requests, four animal problems, five requests to assist citizens, four requests to assist motorist, 81 business checks, two civil matters, four extra patrol requests, one firworks complaint, one report of fraud, one report of gunshots, four hazards, two welfare checks, one narcotics violation, one parking violation, four property issues, one report of reckless driving, one recreational vehicle complaint, one scam, two suspicious circumstances, one traffic stop and one vandalism.
