The Phelps Historical Museum recently held an open house after the Memorial Day service where more than 75 guests viewed displays and were served a complimentary buffet-type meal of sandwiches and fixings.

This season, in addition to its newly updated permanent displays, the museum will have an in-house viewing of a video documentary on the Ford-Becker-Lee property. Other new exhibits feature the Military Hill fire tower and the Phelps movie theater.

The museum is open May through September, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursdays from 4 to 8 p. m., and by appointment.
