The eighth annual Three Eagle Half-Marathon and 5K run will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, on the Three Eagle Trail between Eagle River and Three Lakes.

The point-to-point trail run will begin at two separate locations with a 9 a.m. race start.

“Very few races can boast of the beauty of a trail run at the end of peak fall colors, with top design work, at such a competitive price,” said organizer Jayme Wyss. “Our goal was to create a top-level race that showcased the fall beauty of the Three Eagle Trail at an affordable price. We want it to be a race that people want to be a part of, and that the whole community can be proud of.”

The race will benefit the Three Eagle Trail and Three Lakes running programs.

Participants receive a technical performance long-sleeved shirt, post-race food and beverage, and customized awards.

The race, on a crushed limestone trail, is chip-timed and results are provided on site.

A shuttle service will be available to runners. Information and a link for registration is available at 3eaglehalf.com.
