The Community Blood Center will hold a blood drive Friday, March 19, from 1 to 5 p.m., in cooperation with the St. Germain Lions Club and St. Germain Fire & Rescue. 

The drive will be held at the fire department, located at 553 Highway 155 in St. Germain.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (or 16 years old with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and have a photo ID.

Donors are encouraged to eat a regular meal and drink plenty of fluids.

The Community Blood Center provides 100% of the local blood needed by the Ascension hospitals in Eagle River, Tomahawk, Merrill and Rhinelander, as well as Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.
