Jennifer Minaudo picks the winning ticket in the Sayner-Star Lake Lioness Club Packer Football contest.
Members of the Sayner-Star Lake Lioness Club met at Thunderbird Bar & Grill Dec. 13 to finalize their Green Bay Packers autographed football raffle.

The 2019 season football was originally slated to be given at the Lioness spring meat raffle held at Thunderbird, but due to COVID-19, that event was canceled.

Members of the club decided instead to hold a raffle with the football traveling to area bars and restaurants where tickets were sold.

Participating businesses included Knockers Pizza Company, Weber’s Wildlife, Murmuring Waters Lodge, Sisters Saloon, Sayner Pub, Hillside, and the final stop was at Thunderbird Bar & Grill.

Money received from the raffle is being divided between the Plum Lake Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the St. Germain EMS. Each service received $800 as a  contribution for their life saving efforts in each community.

Lioness Lori Krall expressed thanks from the club to the local business for their support and to all who purchased tickets.

The winner of the football was Mary Debilzen of Sayner. The football was donated by the Green Bay Packers Foundation.
