The St. Germain Craft Show Committee, chaired by Lois Ruediger, is planning its sixth annual Craft and Vendor Show for Sunday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the corner of highways 70 and 155 in St. Germain as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

More than 65 crafters and food booths, along with face painting and other activities are planned, including several new vendors.

Mike Wolf of WRJO 94.5-FM radio and the station’s live remote crew with the prize wheel will be present from 9 a.m. to noon. Many prizes will be available for anyone who wants to spin the wheel.

Other events scheduled for the day include the Freedom 5K, food, live music and raffles in the pavilion, and free inflatable rides for children from noon to 8 p.m. A parade at 3 p.m., fire department water fights and fireworks at dusk will round out the day.

The proceeds from holding this craft show, along with the November Christmas Bazaar in St. Germain, have supported many local youth organizations through the Craft Show Committee’s funds, which have totaled more than $4,000 given away each year to many organizations.

The committee supports educational, sports-related, cultural and art experiences. Funding has been donated to the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, elementary and middle school music programs, youth conferences, running events, and many other student-related activities, including art supplies, music keyboards and several class field trips.

Support for the first Missoula Theater at Northland Pines Middle School came from the Craft Show Committee, when theater professionals spend a week with students giving them drama and music experience ending in two performances for the community.

Applications for future support for youth-related activities from the Craft Show Committee are available until Oct. 15. For an application or information, contact Ruediger at or (715) 542-2881.
