The 40th annual Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Boys Soccer State Tournament will take place this Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 4-6, at Kohler Engines Stadium at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.

The single-elimination tournament features four divisions. Four teams will compete for the State title in each of the divisions. The coaches of the qualifying teams in Divisions 1 and 2 seed those two divisions and the coaches of the qualifying teams in Divisions 3 and 4 seed those two brackets.

The State tourney will start with Division 1 games this Thursday, Nov. 4. Top-seeded Marquette (21-1-1) will face No. 4 De Pere (11-7-3) at 11 a.m. and No. 2 Verona (18-1-1) will meet No. 3 Hudson (16-2-2) at 1:30 p.m.

Later on Thursday, the Division 4 field will have No. 1 Oostburg (17-1-1) battling No. 4 Arcadia (15-3-2) at 4:30 p.m.and No. 2 Sheboygan Christian-Sheboygan Lutheran (15-2-2) playing No. 3 St. John’s NW Academy-Chesterton (12-1-1) at 7 p.m.

The Division 3 teams will hit the turf Friday, Nov. 5, No. 1 Shorewood (19-1-3) faces No. 4 Rice Lake (17-6-2) at 11 a.m. and No. 2 Notre Dame (19-3-3) plays No. 3 McFarland (11-6-3) at 1:30 p.m.

And in Division 2 semifinal games Friday,  No. 1 Oregon (20-0-3) is playing No. 4 River Falls (13-5-2) at 4:30 p.m. and No. 2 Whitefish Bay (18-4-2)?is meeting No. 3 Brookfield Central (12-3-4) at 7 p.m.

All championship games are planned for Saturday, with the Division 1 title game at 11 a.m., the Division 4 game at 1:30 p.m., the Division 3 game at 4:30 p.m., and the Division 2 game at 7 p.m.

Both Northland Pines and Three Lakes played in the Division 4 tournament field, with Pines losing in the Sectional semifinal and Three Lakes losing in the Regional championship.
