Due to the increased number of Covid cases and the number of families in quarantine, the Edward U. Demmer Memorial Library in Three Lakes has canceled its Wii gaming originally scheduled for Friday, Jan. 21.

Instead, families are invited to check out a variety of board games, one of two Wii gaming consoles, and Osmo interactive games designed for use with an iPad for the weekend of Jan. 21-23. The free jigsaw puzzle exchange is also available in the library’s vestibule during open hours.

“While we’re disappointed not to be able to have an in-person game day, we thought, ‘How can we make this event so more families can be involved?’ “ explained Programming Librarian April Lammert. “We think we have enough variety for everyone who wants something can be able to find something for the weekend.”

Those wanting to participate can pick up items during library hours on Thursday, Jan. 20, or Friday, Jan. 21. Staff will sign the items out to patrons for the weekend.
