The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Vilas County Committee is accepting applications from interested Vilas County residents for committee vacancies.

The committee is appointed by the Vilas County Board of Supervisors and is the policy-making body for the ADRC of Vilas County department (formerly the Commission on Aging).

The committee represents Vilas County residents regarding programs and county policy for the ADRC department related to services for older adults and adults with disabilities. This committee meets monthly to approve department financial and program reports, makes policy decisions and plans for future needs.

The vacant seats are for citizen members specifically interested in representing Vilas County citizens with a physical disability or intellectual/developmental disability.

Membership on the ADRC Committee requires attending monthly meetings in Eagle River. Members receive mileage reimbursement to travel to the meetings.

Interested Vilas County residents should contact the ADRC of Vilas County to receive an application packet.

Applications must be returned to the department by Friday, June 28, by 4 p.m. The ADRC Committee will then review the applications at its July meeting and a candidate will be selected to recommend to the county board chairperson for official appointment.
