The 36th annual Art Impressions Fine Art and Craft Show is back Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Land O’ Lakes Town Hall grounds.

This Land O’ Lakes Arts (LOLA)-sponsored event exhibits a wide variety of fine art and quality craft for show and sale. Live music, food and refreshments will be available all day.

“Art Impressions continues to be a summer classic in Land O’ Lakes,” said event coordinator Karen Lenhart.

The event started in 1983 with local artist Dorothy Grems at the helm, giving area artists a venue to show and sell their work. Most of the original artists were members of the Headwaters Art League.

Since then, it has grown to include approximately 75 to 80 artisans from as far away as Arizona and Florida. Some of this year’s artists will exhibit woodcarving, jewelry, fabric art, watercolors, photography, pottery, garden art and more.

Judges will be Norma Dycus Pennycuff and Sarah Thompson. The Woodland Strings will perform light jazz, classical, pop, rock and more. New to the event this year will be international cuisine from Consumption Jct., along with food from the Land O’ Lakes Lions Club and the Land O’ Lakes Fire Department.

For more information on the event, contact Lenhart at (906) 287-1401 or the LOLA office at (715) 547-3950.

The LOLA Center is located at 4262 Highway B in downtown Land O’ Lakes. LOLA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
