The Community Blood Center (CBC) provides 100% of the local blood needed by the Ascension hospitals in Eagle River, Tomahawk, Merrill and Rhinelander and Woodruff.

A CBC spokesperson said: “CBC is in need of donors to make appointments in the weeks and months ahead. Hospitals are beginning to re-schedule elective surgeries which means the need for blood is increasing. As our nation, state and community begins to reopen, CBC must ensure it has the blood necessary to support the ongoing needs of our hospital partners.”

The VFW is located at 418 W. Pine St.
