The Community Blood Center, in partnership with the Vilas County Sheriff’s Department, will hold the Battle of the Badges blood drive Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the sheriff’s department.

In order to keep physical distance between donors, appointments are requested. To make an appointment, call Chris Kamps at (715) 479-3699.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (or 16 years old with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and have a photo ID.

Donors are encouraged to eat a regular meal and drink plenty of fluids.

The sheriff’s department is located at 330 Court St. in Eagle River.

The Community Blood Center provides 100% of the local blood needed by the Ascension hospitals in Eagle River, Tomahawk, Merrill and Rhinelander, as well as Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.
