Nothing says spring like the start of the Eagle River Farmers’ Market which will begin at its outdoor location on Highway 45 N. next Wednesday, May 12.

Since 2004, the Eagle River Farmers’ Market has served the community by providing fresh products to people in the area via small producers, gardeners, farmers, local gardens and craft artisans.

A variety of vendors offer such goods as jams, jellies, honey, pure maple syrup, sauces, fresh eggs, fresh cheeses, breads, sweets, vegetables, dog treats, pasture-raised pork, plants, flowers, perennials, breakfast, lunch and crafts.

“Come on out and enjoy the season, and get to know your growers, and learn cooking tips on preparing your veggies,” said Martha Geiseman, executive director of the Eagle River Main Street Program.

“Coming to the farmers market makes shopping a pleasure rather than a chore. The market is a community hub, a place to meet up with your friends, bring your children, or just get a taste of delicious nutrition,” Geiseman added.

The market is located on Highway 45 N. just north of the bridge. Markets are open Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May through October, and Sundays from 10 a.m. to  2 p.m. June through October.

The farmers market is sponsored by the Eagle River Main Street Program. For more information, contact the office at (715) 477-0645 or
