Three Lakes Lions Club announced it is still accepting donations for the Three Lakes Lions Club’s annual rummage sale.

The sale will take place this Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lions Club storage shed.

“Anyone who has clean, usable and serviceable items they are willing to donate, please contact the club as soon as possible,” said Lion President Don Meeder.

“As long as it can be re-used by another, we’ll take the donated goods,” said Meeder.

The Lions Club storage unit can be found at 6511 Railroad St. in Three Lakes.  For alternate arrangements, call Meeder at (715) 360-3751.

Following the rummage sale, the annual Lions Auction will take place Saturday, July 20. The Lions Club will be accepting items, especially larger items, until July 20 for the auction.

Items that will not be accepted this year include sofa beds, entertainment centers, large appliances, exercise equipment and TVs. None of these items have sold well in the past.

The club is looking for big ticket items, provided they are in working condition.

“We will even accept boats, snowmobiles, paddle boats and autos,” said Meeder. “So far, we have some sailboats, a slide-in pickup truck camper, a pop-up camper and an 85-horsepower boat for the auction.”

Tax-deduction receipts will be provided on request. Items of greatest interest will be posted on the Three Lakes Lions Club 27-C2 Facebook page.

This is a major fundraiser for the Lions Club and it serves the community in many ways.

“It is truly a win-win-win event,” said Meeder.
