The Warehouse Art Center in Eagle River will hold Summer Art Experience with artist Debbie Ketchum Jircik on Wednesday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Participants will experience a three-day excursion to Japan through Japanese art styles and discussion of the work of a Japanese artist.

Cinema Magic Movie Night will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. This week’s movie is “Curse of Bigfoot.” Participants can sketch their interpretation of Bigfoot while they watch. This family-friendly event features free popcorn and Inspiration Bar will be open.

Introduction to Alcohol Ink Art with artist Laurie Krueger will be held Thursday, Aug. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. Participants will learn how to create abstract flowers and designs using alcohol ink. The Warehouse will team up with the School Age Child Care Beyond the Bell program provided by Northwoods Child Development Center Friday, Aug. 10, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for its art integrated with science, technology, engineering and math skills. It will take place at Eagle River Elementary School. Cost is $10 per student.

Faith Webb, local musician and graduate of Northland Pines High School, will sing and play guitar Friday, Aug. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. Donations for her college fund will be appreciated. Inspiration Bar will be open. 

The last session of intergenerational art for families will take place Monday, Aug. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon with artist Ryan Doberstein. 

This week participants will perform “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” with shadow puppets crafted from paper, drawing materials and fancy papers. No registration is required. Cost is $20 per adult with one child and $5 for each additional child, or $15 for each unaccompanied child.

Summer Art Experience with Norma will be held Tuesday, Aug. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Participants will learn about the art of Wisconsin artist Mary Nohl. Cost is $60 for the Tuesday through Friday series, or $20 for a single session. To sign up, visit eagleriverart.com.

The Warehouse Summer Music Series sponsored by Re/Max continues Friday, Aug. 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. with Boat Patrol performing to benefit Northland Pines Music Boosters. The Inspiration Bar will be open.
