Francis "Bugs" Mathieu
Francis E. Mathieu died March 14, 2025. He was 84.
Mr. Mathieu is survived by his wife, Jeanine (née Luebke); two daughters, Lori (Lee) Waldman, and Shelli Mathieu; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Gloria Neu; one brother-in-law; one sister-in-law; nephews; nieces; cousins; and many friends.
Mr. Mathieu was an Army Veteran.
Mr. Mathieu was an EMT and Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Menomonee Falls Fire Department for many years, retiring as a Captain. He retired from the Village of Menomonee Falls as its Superintendent of Public Works in 2003 and moved to Eagle River.
Mr. Mathieu enjoyed life in the North Woods, fishing, tinkering in his garage, and doing yard work. He was also an active member of the local snowmobile club, the Sno-Eagles.

A Mass will be held on Saturday March 29, 2025, at 11a.m. at St. Boniface Church W204 N11940 Goldendale Rd. Germantown, WI 53022. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. A memorial in Eagle River will be held at a later date.
