Patricia Hollis of Eagle River died Monday, April 17, 2023, at the Rennes Facility in Rhinelander, at age 97.
She was born June 5, 1926, in Evanston, Ill.
She was a registered nurse, avid needle worker, quilter, artist, gardener, cook and family matriarch.
Her family has had ties to the North Woods for more than 75 years.
Mrs. Hollis was proceeded in death by her husband, Stephen Hollis.
She is survived by one daughter, Daniele (Jerry) Aschenbrenner of Eagle River; three sons, Michael Hollis of Land O’ Lakes, David (Valerie) Hollis of Eagle River, and Patrick Hollis of Marshfield; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held April 25 at St. Peters of the Fisherman Church in Eagle River.
Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River is serving the family.
