Rae Ann Marie Freund, a resident of Eagle River for most of her life, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at her home. She was 58.
She was born Jan. 19, 1965, in Madison, to Richard Freund and Joyce Snow.
She was in the Miss Teen Wisconsin pageant and was second runner-up in the Barbara Mandrell Look-Alike Contest in Three Lakes.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Eagle River, and Job’s Daughters International.
Ms. Freund is survived by her mother, Joyce Snow Nelson of Eagle River; father, Richard W. Freund, Sr. of Eagle River; two sons, Jason and Matt Lass, both of Racine; two brothers, Rick “Pepper” (Penny) Freund, and Ross (Taimi Shifflett) Freund, both of Eagle River; two grandchildren; two nieces; three nephews; and her life partner, John Leason of Eagle River.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
