Sean Altman, Jack Skuller return to Eagle River with a Tribute to The Everly Brothers

Posted

The Headwaters Council for the Performing Arts (HCPA) is welcoming musical performers Sean Altman and Jack Skuller for their acclaimed Everly Set tribute on Saturday, April 5, at 7 p.m. in the Northland Pines High School Auditorium.

Concertgoers may remember the duo from their Simon & Garfunkel tribute performance during HCPA’s 2022-2023 season. Now they return to celebrate the legendary harmonies of The Everly Brothers.

Phil and Don Everly revolutionized rock ‘n’ roll in 1957 with hits like “Bye Bye Love” and “Wake Up Little Susie,” influencing generations of artists including The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and The Beach Boys. Now, six decades later, seasoned performer Sean Altman (founder of Rockapella and composer of the Carmen Sandiego theme song) joins forces with guitar virtuoso and former Disney recording artist Jack Skuller to bring the Everly Brothers’ timeless music to life. Despite their three-decade age gap, the duo’s chemistry and harmonies transport audiences back to the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll.

The evening kicks off at 6:15 p.m. with a special performance in the auditorium lobby by local musicians Gerry and Laura Plank, who will showcase classics from the 60s and 70s, along with selections from their Tall Pines Jazz repertoire.

HCPA will also continue its popular raffle basket drawing, featuring gifts donated by local businesses. Tickets for the raffle will be available for purchase at the event, priced at $5 each or five for $20, with winners announced at the end of intermission.

Tickets for The Everly Set are $35 and can be purchased in advance at Eagle River Roasters until April 4, online at HCPApresents.com, or at the door starting at 6 p.m. on the night of the performance.
