56-year-old James Johnson of St. Germain was arrested Saturday morning by Vilas County Sheriff’s Office officials after being labeled a suspect in the death of 61-year-old Kelly Johnson.
The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call a little after 10:30 p.m. last Friday night from an address in Cloverland that informed them of the finding of a female body they thought to be deceased.
Deputies arrived on scene to find Kelly Johnson “deceased of unnatural causes,” according to a report released by the sheriff’s office.
Detectives from Vilas and Oneida counties and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation were dispatched to the scene, along with help from the Department of Justice’s mobile Crime Response Team and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
As a result of the investigation, James Johnson of St. Germain was located and arrested for 1st Degree Intentional Homicide.
