Barbara McCoy, of Three Lakes, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 11, 2026, at 12:15 a.m., surrounded by love.
Barbara was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and held a deep and lifelong love for her parents, whom she cherished dearly. She was a deeply caring and compassionate woman who always put others before herself. She had a heart for helping in any way she could and touched the lives of many through her kindness, strength, and generosity. She was a fighter to the very end, facing her illness with courage and grace.
She especially cherished time spent with family and found great joy in the simple moments of life. As a child Barbara had rode on a horse behind the Canadian Royal Mounted Police in the Wisconsin State Fair. Barbara had a passion for bowling and won quite a few state games.
Barbara had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, especially musky fishing-along with hunting, berry picking, and mushroom foraging. These moments in nature brought her peace and happiness and reflected her appreciation for the world around her.
Her warmth, love, and selflessness will be remembered by all who knew her. She also shared an inseparable bond with her beloved granddog, Izzy, who was always by her side. Izzy seemed to sense when Barbara was not feeling well, staying close, offering comfort, and showering her with kisses, bringing her peace and companionship during difficult moments.
Barbara is survived by her loving family, including her children, and loved ones who will miss her dearly. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice staff and caregivers who provided compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barbara’s honor to any hospice organization or charity organization.
She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
