Chamber rolls out inaugural Room Tax Grant Program

Posted

The Sayner, Star Lake and Cloverland Chamber of Commerce has launched its inaugural Room Tax Grant Program to enhance tourism-driven initiatives across the three-town area.

The program is designed to invest in events, marketing efforts, and projects that attract visitors, increase overnight stays, and enhance the overall tourism experience in the Northwoods. Eligible applicants include local organizations, nonprofits, and groups planning initiatives that align with these goals and promote the region beyond a 50-mile radius.

In the first year of the program, chamber officials are excited to introduce a new way to reinvest in the community while supporting initiatives that highlight the unique experiences, events, and attractions that make the Sayner–Star Lake–Cloverland area a destination for visitors.

“This program is an important step forward in supporting the growth and vitality of our communities,” said chamber leadership. “We look forward to partnering with organizations that are bringing new ideas, events, and experiences to the area while helping drive tourism and economic impact.”
The application window opened April 1 and will remain open until May 15.

Grant recipients will be announced June 15. Applications are available online at sayner-starlake-cloverland.org/community/chamber-community-grant-program.
Applicants are encouraged to carefully review all requirements and submit a complete application, including supporting documentation and a detailed plan outlining how their project will enhance tourism and contribute to overnight stays.
