Charles Edward Champeny

Born in Waukegan, IL, but the family moved to Northern Wisconsin when he was a year old and settled in Conover. He attended Conover Grade School and graduated from Eagle River Union High School in 1951.
After high school Charles joined the US Navy and served on the USS Wisconsin BB64.
He served on town and county boards and was involved in many community activities while working as a logger and trucker into his 80’s.
Proceeded in death by his parents, Glanville (Florence) Champeny and his brother, David.
He is survived by his children, George Champeny, Patricia Amble, Joan Kazda, Helen Bryner, Edward Champeny, David Champeny and Tamara Champeny. 10 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren.
There will be a private burial at Eagle River Cemetery, May 10th, and a memorial lunch at noon at the Wild Turkey in Conover. PAID OBITUARY
