Charles W. Kemp, fondly known as Chuck, beloved husband of Sally for over 62 years. Father of Chris (Amy) of Lakewood, OH and Jeff (Judy) of Jay, OK. Proud grandfather of Charlie, David (Maria Trees), Maggie (Chris Crumb), Amber Barnett (Anthony), Derek Flaming and Zoey Kemp. Adoring great grandfather of Lily Jo, Logan, Ray & Jo.

Preceded in death by his loving wife Sarah Haskell Young Kemp and parents Lothar & Wilma M. Jirikowic of Appleton WI.

Chuck grew up in Kaukauna Wi. Where he graduated from Kaukauna High school. He then graduated with a BA from the University of Wisconsin in 1962.

In 1963, he married Sally, the love of hi life and they started their journey in Port Huron, Michigan where he was a member of the Detroit Boat Club they came in 5th. In the 1964 summer Olympic trials. After spending a few years in Indiana, they moved to Chicago to raise their boys.

In the early 90’s, they moved permanently to Eagle River WI and bought the Fountain Blu. Together with Sally, they ran the store for 30 years.

Chuck was a devoted member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eagle River WI. He loved his church and enjoyed participating in all of the activities.

He spent a few weeks every year enjoying the sun on Siesta Key. He was an avid Packers, Brewers & Bucks fan. His family knew never to call during a game.

Chuck loved working at the Fountain Blu and seeing old friends or meeting new ones. His legacy is marked by his love of his family and support of his church and community. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be at 11am on Friday May 15, 2026 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eagle River, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Chucks memory can be made to the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eagle River, WI.
