Claudia Kaderabek Wittmann

Claudia K. Wittmann of Buffalo, MN, formerly of Three Lakes and Sussex, WI, died on December 9th, 2025. Her devoted children, Amy and Art; son-in-law, Sam Crockett; and daughter-in-law, Tammy; survive her along with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was born on May 29, 1931, the only child of Claude and Lela Kaderabek of Sussex, WI. She attended Carleton College and Northwestern University. In 1953, she married her beloved husband Karl Wittmann who passed away in 2017 ending a happy 64 year marriage. She was preceded in death by her son, K.C.

After her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, Claudia was most proud of her various involvements in Girl Scouting and as President of the Great Blue Heron Girl Scout Council, and her participation and membership in St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Sussex. She also acted as Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the Woman’s Development Center at Waukesha County Technical College, volunteered for United Way of Waukesha County, and her thirteen year employment by the Mental Health Association of Waukesha County. At MHA, she was Coordinator of First Call for Help, a 24 hour suicide and information and referral crisis hotline.

Shortly after they were married, Karl and Claudia visited friends on the Three Lakes Chain of Lakes in northern Wisconsin. They fell in love with the area and vacationed there yearly with their family. In 1986, they built a retirement home where they enjoyed sharing their interests in the Northwoods with relatives and friends. Having grandsons Brandon and Grant spend time with them at the lake was a special pleasure. The two young Vikings fans were introduced to the wonders of Lambeau Field by their grandparents who were longtime Packer fans.

Claudia’s family prefers to remember and honor her life privately. No flowers please. They are grateful to the staff at The Glenn in Buffalo, MN, and to her helper Anne in Three Lakes for their caring help of Claudia in her later years. If desired, memorials may be made to the Demmer Memorial Library in Three Lakes, WI, or to the nonprofit organization of your choice.                         PAID OBITUARY
